CAPE TOWN - The Grassy Park Community Policing Forum (CPF) said on Sunday all their efforts to find missing eight-year-old Kiana Williams have been unsuccessful.

Search parties have been looking for the little girl since Tuesday after she failed to attend school.

Her mother told officials she realised her daughter was missing when she returned home from hospital the following day after giving birth.

The child was left in the care of her grandmother and her mother's boyfriend.

The CPF's Phillip Bam said there's still no sign of the Williams.

"The search will continue. The Grassy Park neighbourhood watchers and CPF members have been excellent in supporting the police. We hope that the child is still safe somewhere unknown to the family."
