Bismarck to make Bok return
The Boks will be looking to beef up their front row ahead of their match against Scotland.
JOHANNESBURG - Springbok hooker Bismarck du Plessis is relishing the chance to put his injury nightmare behind him and return to the Springbok squad.
He has played three club games since sustaining a serious knee injury against Argentina last year.
Du Plessis has been named on the bench for Saturday's game against Scotland in Nelspruit.
Cheetahs captain Adriaan Strauss will still carry the number two jersey.
But Bok Coach Heyneke Meyer will more than likely give du Plessis some game time to give him a chance of challenging for the hooker position.
Du Plessis said, "I've got the opportunity to play for the Springboks this weekend. If I get one minute, I'll try to fit 80 minutes into that minute. It's very exciting to be back and I'm very privileged to be able to wear the green and gold again."
Meyer has made five changes to the side that played Italy on Saturday.
The Sharks hooker says the wealth of young talent that's come through in the Springbok set-up of late is very exciting.
"There are a lot of injuries from senior guys and young guys are getting the opportunity [to play]. If you play good rugby, you will be rewarded."
