WC protesters empty toilet content at legislature
The premier's spokesperson Zak Mbhele says they're analysing camera footage to identify the culprits.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Government is considering taking action after protesters emptied the contents of a portal loo on the doorsteps of the provincial legislature on Monday.
The premier's office is planning to lay criminal charges.
It is believed a group of African National Congress (ANC) councillors were demonstrating their dissatisfaction with the Democratic Alliance-led provincial government's standard of service delivery in poor areas.
The premier's spokesperson Zak Mbhele said they were analysing camera footage to identify the culprits.
"To spill human faeces and urine in front of a public building is a new level of disgusting. That shows the kind of people we are dealing with and they won't be allowed to get away with it if we can help it."
