JOHANNESBURG - Police in Pretoria on Saturday night made a breakthrough in the fight against drugs after they arrested a suspected drug kingpin in Sunnyside.

Officers raided an apartment in Melville Street shortly before midnight, following a tip-off and found over 51 kilograms of dagga.

A 30-year-old Tanzanian man was then arrested for dealing in drugs.

"On further investigation, the police also found suspected stolen goods in the apartment," said the police's Colette Weilbach.

"128 cellphones, six GPS devices, 15 laptops, six computers, four cameras, two camera lenses and a pair of binoculars were seized."
