Fire at Free State hospital
More than 100 patients had to be evacuated from the Dihlabeng Regional Hospital.
JOHANNESBURG - More than 100 patients had to be evacuated from the Dihlabeng Regional Hospital in the Free State after a fire broke out on Monday.
It is believed the blaze started in the kitchen.
Patients on the fourth floor had to be moved to the casualty ward as a result of the fire.
Free State Health Department spokesperson Mondli Mvambi said nobody was injured.
"We're expecting the firefighters to give us a full report by no later than Friday this week. We need to make sure that everything is in order so that we can put protocol systems in place again."
