JOHANNESBURG - A Johannesburg mother is still struggling to cope after her one year old son was stolen from her last week while police are still on the hunt for the woman responsible.

Refiloe Enele was returning from Cape Town last Tuesday when she met the woman she said eventually stole her baby.

The woman had identified herself as Busisiwe and offered to hold Enele's son, Shabiel, while she went into a building in the Johannesburg CBD.

But the woman had vanished moments later.

Enele said police were still investigating, but have not managed to find either the woman or Shabiel.

She said she was unable to function because of her being so worried.

"The police told me they were still looking at footage from the bus we were using. But I haven't been told anything else."

The young mother fears for the worst as days go by without any positive news about her son's disappearance. Police are still searching for the kidnapper.
