Grace in contention at China Open
SA golfer Branden Grace has regained his consistency in the China Open.
JOHANNESBURG - A second round 67 from defending champion Branden Grace has turned his China Open around.
With two rounds still to play, a strong finish from the SA champion could still see him challenge for the title as the weekend goes on.
Grace says he is delighted with his consistency.
"Today was one of the best ball-striking days I've had. I only missed one green. The putter was a little bit cold though; I missed three or four putts, which is a little bit unlike me these days, but it's just nice to be back in it."
Brett Rumford leads on nine under par, one shot clear of the Dutchman Robert-Jan Derksen. Grace says Rumford is dominating the greens.
"He's putting so well. I've never seen anyone put the way he has the last couple of days. It's going to be a tough one to catch but we're up for the challenge."
