JOHANNESBURG - Two fishermen were rescued after their boat experienced steerage problems in Hartbeespoort Dam on Saturday morning.

The dam is reportedly 108 percent full due to heavy downpours and thunderstorms that started on Friday.

The men were on a bass fishing boat in rough water conditions and heavy rain.

The National Sea Rescue Institute's (NSRI) Craig Lambinon said no injuries were reported.

"It was a bass boat that had steering problems in the dam.

"The NSRI Hartbeespoort Dam went to their assistance and towed them to their berth."
