JOHANNESBURG - Oscar Pistorius has not been invited to participate at the London Olympic Anniversary Games which will take place from 16 to 28 July.

The event, held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to commemorate the one year anniversary of the London Olympic Games, will include a day of Paralympic sport.

The Blade Runner won two gold medals and a silver at last year's Olympic games.

But instead of a hero's welcome back, UK Athletics chairperson Ed Warner said he does not want to see the Sunday of the Anniversary Games turned into a media circus.

Warner said Pistorius would over shadow every athlete there.

Pistorius is currently out on bail after killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home on Valentine's Day and was recently seen running on an athletics track in Pretoria.
