JOHANNESBURG - The trial of three men and a woman accused of dousing a Gauteng teenager with petrol and setting her alight in an apparent satanic ritual will resume in the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court on Wednesday.

Kirsty Theologo was attacked behind the Linmeyer Swimming Pool south of Johannesburg in October 2011.

The four people charged with the crime are believed to have been her friends at the time.

They've spent the past two years in custody.

Kirsty's mother Sylvia Theologo and the rest of the family are expected to once again fill the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court benches for the trial against her daughter's alleged killers.

On Monday, the trial was postponed due to a delay in two other cases in the court.

The state is expected to call three witnesses to testify.

The family said they are relieved the trial is finally getting underway so that justice can be served.
