Hex River bus crash probe continues
The RTMC says there are a lot of factors that are probed for the Hex River accident.
CAPE TOWN - The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) on Sundays said a major investigation into the exact cause of the Hex River bus crash had not been completed as yet.
Twenty four people from a Khayelitsha church were returning from a prayer meeting in Secunda in Mpumalanga in March.
The bus they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed outside De Doorns.
At least 38 people were injured.
There were claims shortly after the accident that the vehicle's brakes were faulty.
But the RTMC's spokesperson Ashref Ismail said it would take some time before the probe into the crash was finalised.
"The investigation is still on-going. The matter is sub judice bearing in mind that people died."
