Police arrest Reiger Park shooting suspect
A man opened fire and shot Michael Nadewee in the neck.
JOHANNESBURG - Police on Saturday arrested a suspect linked to the shooting of a Reiger Park man.
Michael Nadewee was shot and killed in what is believed to be yet another gang-related crime on the East Rand.
On Thursday morning, a blue VW polo was seen approaching Nadewee outside his home.
A man emerged from the vehicle, opened fire and shot Nadewee in the neck.
The police's Katlego Mogale said they have found the man and the vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting.
"The blue VW that was allegedly used in the shooting has been confiscated by police."
Eyewitness News reported how the Reiger Park community would not speak about the incident, as it is believed Nadewee had been targeted in a revenge attack for another shooting.
