Another Reiger Park shooting
A 27-year-old man was shot in the neck during the early hours of Thursday morning.
JOHANNESBURG - A 27-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was gunned down while leaving his Reiger Park home on Thursday morning after yet another shooting in the East Rand area.
It's understood the man was leaving his home at around 6.30am when a blue Polo pulled up alongside him.
A man jumped out of the vehicle and opened fire wounding the man with a bullet to the neck.
The victim was rushed to Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg.
It's believed the victim knew his attacker, but police have yet to make any arrests.
It's unclear if the shooting is related to the on-going gang violence in the area.
In February a 16-year-old was shot, allegedly by his own cousin, in what appeared to be a gang-related incident.
