CAPE TOWN - Officials are meeting on Wednesday afternoon to discuss safety at popular tourist attractions in the Mother City.

This after a Norwegian exchange student was raped by two men on Signal Hill on Saturday.

The suspects tied up the young woman's boyfriend and stole their belongings before dropping them in Camps Bay.

Cape Town Tourism's Mariette du Toit-Helmbold said, "We are working very hard to make sure that we can provide the necessary support and that we can also improve the safety around visitor attractions and our entire city."

No arrests have been made as yet.

Meanwhile, at least five attacks have been reported on the Table Mountain since January.

Criminals recently started targeting cyclists on the mountain.
