Madiba spends 7th day in hospital
The Presidency says no news is good news when it comes to Madiba’s health.
JOHANNESBURG - As former President Nelson Mandela looks set to spend his seventh day in hospital, the Presidency said on Wednesday for now no news is good news when it comes to the 94-year-old statesman's health.
Madiba is being treated at an undisclosed facility for pneumonia related to his recurring lung problems.
The Presidency's Mac Maharaj said Madiba is still comfortable and improving.
Maharaj assured worried South Africans that should there be a drastic change in Madiba's condition, improvement or otherwise, they would be informed.
He said it is still unclear when the former president will be discharged.
Meanwhile, social networks are still abundant with messages of support for the ailing elder statesman.
