Routine chopper patrol claims five SANDF lives

JOHANNESBURG - Five members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) were killed in a helicopter crash in the Kruger National Park on Saturday.
The SANDF claims the aircraft was on a scheduled aerial patrol of the game reserve, as part of Operation Rhino, the anti-rhino poaching initiative.
The chopper crashed at about seven o’clock and an investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
