JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) today said a date for murder accused Oscar Pistorius's bail conditions appeal is now on the table.

Pistorius's lawyers previously confirmed they filed a submission appealing several of the paralympian's bail conditions.

The Pretoria Magistrates Court released the Blade Runner on R1 million bail for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in February.

Steenkamp died from gun shots at Pistorius's home in Pretoria on Valentine's Day.

His bail conditions include restrictions on alcohol, international travel and his ability to return to his Pretoria home.

The NPA's spokesperson Medupi Simasiku said the authority and Pistorius's defence team jointly suggested a new date for the appeal.

"We currently don't have any date. The date that was originally suggested was 22 March but that did not materialise so now 28 March has been suggested."
