CT council meeting to discuss dead fish
Various departments in Cape Town are working together to discuss tons of dead fish in Milnerton.
CAPE TOWN - Various city departments are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the death of tons of fish in Milnerton.
Officials cleared some five tons of mullet at the weekend that washed up between the Lagoon Beach river mouth and the Milnerton Lighthouse.
They are awaiting results after samples were taken from the water and the dead fish.
Cape Town biodiversity manager Julia Wood says it is concerning.
"We do have staff on site and are working with provincial and national government [officials] to clean up any fish is around."
