Madiba back in hospital
The Former President reportedly underwent a scheduled medical check-up at a PTA hospital.
JOHANNESBURG - Former President Nelson Mandela is back in a Pretoria hospital for a routine check-up.
The presidency said 94-year-old Madiba was admitted to the facility on Saturday afternoon.
Presidential Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said there is no reason for any alarm.
"Former President Nelson Mandela was admitted to hospital in Pretoria on 9 March for a scheduled medical check-up to assist doctors in managing his condition - which is in line with his age."
In December Madiba was hospitalised for about two weeks, initially to treat a recurring lung infection and later underwent surgery to remove gall stones.
Maharaj also appealed for privacy for Madiba and his family.
