MOHLAKENG - Local pastors and social workers were on Tuesday called to the school affected by the murder of a 15-year-old girl, allegedly by her classmates.

Kamogetswe Sefularo was stabbed to death on Friday, outside the Lukhanyo High School in Mohlakeng, on Gauteng's West Rand.

A 15-year-old girl who was arrested in connection with her murder is due to appear in court later today.

Community leader Tebogo Sepato is involved in the school and said the pupils were traumatised.

"Yesterday, 90% of them were crying, but I think today they are adjusting to the situation."

A memorial service has been planned for Thursday, while Sefularo's family is due to hold a funeral at the weekend.

After being stabbed, the 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital and apparently told her mother the names of her attackers before dying.

Sefularo has been described as a quiet and loving girl who dreamt of becoming an air hostess.

Her alleged attacker was well known to her family.

Police yesterday said the existence of a cult forms part of an investigation into the girl's murder and said they had not ruled out further arrests.

Her family suspect those who killed her were conducting some kind of a ritual, but police have so far said only a fight had broken out.
