Friends and family mourn Reeva
Relatives, friends and personalities pay their final respects to Reeva Steenkamp.
PORT ELIZABETH - Relatives, friends and well-known South African personalities on Tuesday arrived to pay their final respects to Reeva Steenkamp in her hometown Port Elizabeth.
Paralympian Oscar Pistorius is accused of killing her at his Pretoria home on Valentine's Day.
Mourners, some bleary eyed and others wearing dark glasses, trickled into the Victoria Park Crematorium.
Among the several high-profile people to have arrived were model agency owner Shashi Naidoo, radio host DJ Fresh and rugby star Francois Hougaard.
DJ Fresh became close to the model while shooting a reality TV show in Jamaica last year.
Ex-race horse jockey and friend Gavin Venter was the most outspoken of the people gathering to remember the 29-year-old.
He said he was "disgusted" by what Pistorius did.
"He is a danger to the public, he will be a danger to witnesses and he must stay in jail."
But Steenkamp's brother Adam said he was not focusing on what was happening with the court case in Pretoria
He has been cautious not to make any accusatory public statements, saying Pistorius "had his own demons to deal with".
Steenkamp's casket, decked with white flowers, had been taken inside before the service began at 11am.
