CAPE TOWN - Reeva Steenkamp's family and friends will say their final farewell to the Port Elizabeth-born model during a private memorial service on Tuesday.

Her boyfriend Oscar Pistorius, a Paralympian star, shot and killed the 29-year-old at his luxury Pretoria East home during the early hours of Valentine's Day.

He is facing a charge of premeditated murder and will formally apply for bail on the same day as Steenkamp's memorial takes place.

Steenkamp's family will hold the ceremony for the law graduate at the Victoria Park Crematorium.

It is understood an autopsy report has been completed and handed over to authorities.

Meanwhile, Reeva's cousin Sharon said her family gathered together on Saturday to watch the model's reality television debut, and described it as an emotional experience.

She said Steenkamp, who some say was on the verge of super stardom, was proud of being on television and wanted them to watch the show.

The Tropika Island of Treasure programme began with a tribute to Steenkamp, who was seen blowing a kiss to the camera in Jamaica where it was filmed last year.
