Pistorius's lawyer expected at police station
The media has set up cameras outside the police station where Oscar Pistorius is being kept.
PRETORIA - A growing media delegation is gathered outside Pretoria's Brooklyn police station ahead of the 3pm visiting hour when Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius's legal team is expected to arrive.
Police arrested the Blade Runner at his luxury home in Pretoria on Valentine's Day after he killed his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius spent the weekend at the police station where he has been meeting with lawyers and preparing for his bail application on Tuesday.
The state has indicated its intention to oppose bail.
A police official outside the station told Eyewitness News Pistorius's lawyers and family were keeping to the strict visiting hours.
The athlete will have an hour to speak to his lawyer Kenny Oldwage.
Local and international media have set up cameras outside the police station, hoping for an interview with the legal team after their consultation.
Earlier, Pistorius's manager Peet van Zyl announced that his client cancelled his contract to perform in several races this year.
