Afcon semis to kick off
Four teams are expected to battle it out for the Afcon crown on Wednesday night.
JOHANNESBURG - The Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) is expected to reach fever pitch on Wednesday when the semi-finals kick off.
Mali and Nigeria lock horns in the first semi-final in Durban at 5pm, followed by the match between Burkina Faso and Ghana in Nelspruit at 8:30pm.
Ghana and Nigeria have the pedigree while Mali appears to be a formidable force with Burkina Faso as a surprise package.
The Super Eagles will once again look to Emanuel Emenike's boot to take them closer to their third continental title.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are looking to end their 30 year-long drought.
Mali's Seydou Keita will once again be the danger man in their squad.
The Stallions of Burkina Faso are looking to reach their first ever Afcon final.
