CAPE TOWN - Former Bafana captain and coach Neil Tovey believes that South Africa needs to be clinical if they want to advance to the semi-finals of Africa cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament.

Bafana play Mali at the Moses Mabida Stadium in Durban on Saturday night.

It is the first time since 2002 that Bafana have made it to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Tovey also says that Bafana need to be well organised in defence if they want beat Mali.

"The one area that South Africa really has to get hold of is winning all the big moments in the game. They have to make some really good tackles at the right time."

The game starts at 8:30pm.

In another encounter, Ghana will face Cape Verde at 5pm.

Cape Verde has done really well in the competition and their coach, Lucio Antunes, believes they are going to win the tournament.

The game will take place at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
