CAPE TOWN - South African Football Association (Safa) President Kirsten Nematandani on Wednesday called on the entire country to get behind Bafana Bafana ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) quarter-final match this weekend.

Bafana face Mali at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday night.

The last time they reached the last eight of the competition was in 2002 and they were beaten by Mali.

Nematandani said the boys are counting on the nation's support.

"Fans have to fill up the stadium and be vocal about their support team. The boys will do the job on the ground."
