Majoro responding well to treatment
There is a possibility Lehlohonolo Majoro could be in Bafana’s starting line-up against Morocco.
JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund on Thursday said striker Lehlohonolo Majoro could play against Morocco in an Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) match on Sunday.
Majoro was stretchered off in the dying moments of Bafana's 2-0 win over Angola at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday night after sustaining a deep cut in his calf muscle.
Igesund said the player has been responding well to treatment and could be ready to play despite initial reports from the team's doctors that he will be out for 10 days.
"I've spoken to the doctor, he's had seven stitches on his leg but now he's walking pain free. However there's a risk of the stitches opening up again. I do want to use him and if we come up with a plan, we might just use him."
Mojoro is the third player to sustain an injury.
Lerato Chabangu and Kagiso Dikgacoi missed the game due to injuries.
Bafana are currently on top of group A following a draw between Cape Verde Islands and Morocco.
