Mamelodi Sundowns will travel to Cape Town for their first encounter of the Nedbank Cup.

JOHANNESBURG - Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town say they are satisfied to have been pitted against each other in the first round of the Nedbank Cup's last 32 draw.

Other big matches include Bidvest Wits' encounter with Kaizer Chiefs, while defending champions SuperSport United have a home tie against Moroka Swallows.

Orlando Pirates will play minnows Maluti FET College.

The draw took place in Johannesburg on Monday.

Ajax's Public Relations Officer Shooz Mekuto says if history is anything to go by then Sundowns do not stand a chance in Cape Town.

"We've played Sundowns many times in a cup competitiond in Cape Town. They don't have a record of winning in Cape Town so that is something that we will use to our advantage as well."

Sundowns' Trott Moloto says Ajax will be easier to play against because they are an open book.

"We know Ajax Cape Town very well. They know us so there's nothing that we can hide from them. It's a highly levelled contest and we are quite happy with that."

The competition kicks off on 22 February.
