Preparations under way to attend Oscars
Capetonian Stephen Segerman does not know what to expect.
CAPE TOWN - South Africans involved in the making of two Oscar-nominated films shot in the Western Cape are preparing for the glitzy awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Capetonian Stephen Segerman who stars in the documentary titled Searching for Sugarman said he has already organised a tuxedo for next month's Oscars.
"I have no idea what to expect.
"I've watched the Oscars pretty much every year, since we've had television in South Africa but this is a little bit different."
Meanwhile, the co-producer of the film Asad, Rafiq Samsodien, said he hoped the Somali child actors featured in the movie will be sponsored to attend the ceremony.
"We're trying to get them travel documents to go over to the Oscars because it's their moment of glory."
