ANC members filling up Kings Park
ANC members are arriving at Kings Park Stadium ahead of President Jacob Zuma’s January eighth speech.
DURBAN - The Kings Park Stadium in Durban is now filling as ANC members prepare to hear President Jacob Zuma outlining the party's direction in the 8 January statement.
The speech will outline the ANC's policy priorities for the year.
There has been heavy rain overnight and it is still overcast.
However, people are beginning to arrive at the stadium.
They are keen to hear Zuma's main address. He is likely to focus on the National Development Plan (NDP) and how the ANC wants to change the country in 2013.
ANC members are also expected to celebrate Zuma's re-election in Mangaung in December.
Speakers have now started to take to the podium and called the crowd to order but the stadium is around a third fill mainly because of the heavy rain overnight.
