Four babies die in Limpopo hospital
Nehawu says a Limpopo hospital must be held to account for the death of four babies.
LIMPOPO - The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) wants Limpopo's George Masebe Hospital to account for the death of four babies.
The infants passed away on Saturday, allegedly because of serious staff shortages.
It is understood three of the hospital's nine doctors resigned in December.
Nehawu provincial secretary Jacob Adams says these deaths were completely unnecessary.
"We are saddened as the union because innocent babies have died over negligence."
The Health Department says it is investigating the matter.
