Petrol to drop by 15 cents
Petrol and diesel prices will be dropping next week, providing relief for motorists.
JOHANNESBURG - The price of fuel is expected to drop by up to 15 cents a litre for petrol and nearly 30 cents a litre for diesel from next Wednesday.
But economists say the drop will not impact spending but it will provide slight relief on motorists following the busy festive season.
Efficient group economist Dawie Roodt said consumers should prepare for difficult financial times in January.
"Fifteen cents a litre is a drop in a bucket so it will not make much of a different. More important things are electricity increases, school fees and levies in January will not be an easy month."
