Sexwale commits future to ANC
Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale will remain loyal to the ANC despite losing in Mangaung.
JOHANNESBURG - Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale said his future is in the ANC.
Sexwale told the Mail & Guardian that the movement is his home and he has nowhere else to go.
The comment comes a week after Sexwale's bid to become the ANC's deputy president failed at the ruling party's elective conference in Mangaung.
Cyril Ramaphosa trounced Sexwale and Mathews Phosa to become the ruling party's deputy president by garnering 3,018 votes to the pair's respective 463 and 470 votes.
Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma said there will be no Cabinet reshuffle to oust those that were calling for change ahead of Mangaung.
Zuma has committed himself in uniting the party.
