Metro cop points gun at girlfriend
A senior metro cop is expected to appear in court for allegedly pointing a firearm at someone.
JOHANNESBURG - Eyewitness News has learnt the senior Tshwane Metro Police officer arrested for allegedly pointing a firearm at someone, is the same officer implicated in corruption at the city pound.
Police arrested director Moloko Racheku on Thursday night following an incident at a house in Soshanguve.
It is understood Racheku got into an altercation with his girlfriend whom he found with another man at her house.
After allegedly producing his service pistol and pointing it at the woman, she opened a case which led to his arrest.
The metro police's Console Tleane says the officer is being transferred because in his current capacity he is responsible or members conduct and disciplinary matters.
That is exactly why an internal report recommended he be suspended for allegedly illegally releasing vehicles from the city pound.
Nearly three weeks after management received that report, he was still on duty.
It is unclear when Racheku will appear in court.
