JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Tuesday said it is investigating the deaths of two men last seen at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's Soweto home in 1987.

The NPA launched the investigation after new evidence emerged in the murders of Siboniso Tshabalala and Lolo Sono.

It was suggested during the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's public hearings that the ANC stalwart was behind their deaths.

The NPA's Makhosini Nkosi said, "Those investigations are ongoing. They will be determined by the availability of information to the NPA. Once we reach a point where we exhume graves of the people involved, we will let the media know."
