ANC NW to nullify its nomination

ANC North West will go to court in a bid to nullify its nomination conference for Mangaung.

North West ANC members to seek help from court over nominations

MAHIKENG - It has emerged members of the ANC in the North West will go to court on Friday.

This is in a bid to have that province's nomination conference nullified.

Several members said the conference held in the province was manipulated.

It is understood that most of these members are supporters of change and of Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe.

The North West conference saw chaotic scenes with provincial secretary Kabelo Mataboge claiming he was locked in a room and stopped from voting.

While it was understood this court application could not prevent the ANC's Mangaung conference from going ahead, it could prevent the north delegation from taking part.

The ANC's 53rd conference will be taking place from 16-22 December at the University of the Free State.
