JOHANNESBURG - Moroka Swallows are backing their coach Zeca Marques despite the club's poor showing recently.

The Dube Birds have lost five of their past six league matches.

The club's Brand and Communications Manager Siya Sangweni said there was no 'extraordinary board meeting' on Monday.

Sangweni said the team just want to get to the bottom of things.

"We had a meeting and the question was why we're losing so many games and we spoke about a number of contributing factors. However, it was not an extraordinary board meeting."

Sangweni said they will not be doing anything drastic.

"We just want to understand the cause of the problems that we're facing rather than just blaming the coach."

The team is currently 12th on the PSL log.

Their next game is against Bidvest Wits on Saturday.
