Cobras coach Paul Adams has raised questions regarding Dane Vilas’ dismissal against the Titans.

CAPE TOWN - Cobras coach Paul Adams on Monday said Dane Vilas did not get the benefit of the doubt when he was given out in bizarre circumstances at Newlands.

Vilas was given out for 'obstructing the field' when his bat blocked a throw at his stumps on Sunday.

The Cobras beat the Titans by three wickets in the One Day Cup.

Adams shared his thoughts on the dismissal.

"I think it was really controversial. My understanding is that it didn't really move into the line of the ball, it stayed where it was. Obviously the empire made the call."

Meanwhile, Titan's bowler David Wiese explained what happened.

"Basically, it just got in the way a bit and we just asked the question. At the end of the day it's the empire's call to make. There's a new saying, if you get in the way you will be punished. It's a tight law. One side is going to say this and the other side is always going to say that."

The Cobras will play the Lions in the final at Wanderers on Saturday.
