Several people die on SA roads
A number of people have lost their lives on the roads in the past 24 hours.
JOHANNESBURG - A woman was killed and several children injured when a school bus crashed into a house in Krugersdorp, west of Johannesburg on Saturday.
One person, who is in a critical condition, was air lifted to hospital.
Fire fighters are currently using the Jaws of Life to free the bus driver.
Netcare 911's Santi Steinmann said at least 19 other passengers, including school pupils, sustained minor injuries.
"Other patients were treated on the scene and transported via ambulance to nearby facilities."
Meanwhile, Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa expressed concern following carnage on the province's roads over last 48 hours.
At least 15 people, including pedestrians and motorists, have died in separate accidents.
In the latest incident, two women were killed after a collision on the West Coast road near Langebaan on Friday night.
A truck driver travelling near Citrusdal also died when he lost control of his vehicle.
Africa believes these accidents are largely due to fatigue.
"People don't want to listen to us when we say they need to be well rested before taking on long distances. Fatigue is a killer."
Authorities urged motorists to drive safely and obey all the rules of the road.
