Abducted child reunited with family
The seven-year-old girl who was abducted by her biological father has been found.
JOHANNESBURG - The foster parents of a seven-year-old girl, who had been kidnapped by her biological father, on Thursday confirmed the child had been found.
Pura Paulo was abducted from the Waterkloof Primary School in Pretoria on Wednesday with the help of four Zimbabwean men posing as police officers.
The young girl has been living in foster care for several years now after a custody battle between her parents.
Her foster father Evan Andreou said the little girl was found at a guest house in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga.
"She's safe. Her biological father and a female accomplice have been arrested. The owner of the guest house went on the internet and actually saw that we were searching for the child and then called me."
