Sasol to expand in the US
Sasol has big plans to expand to the US creating more jobs and producing high value fuels.
JOHANNESBURG - Sasol is planning to spend up to $21 billion to build the very first natural gas to liquids plant in the United States.
The complex will convert gas into diesel.
Initial engineering work on the complex in Westlake, Louisiana will use domestic natural gas, which is among the cheapest in the world, to make higher-value chemicals and fuels.
The complex, if built, will employ 7,000 construction workers during peak construction and 1,200 permanent workers
