JOHANNESBURG - The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans' Association (MKMVA) is expecting the ANC's top leadership to provide guidelines on how delegates should conduct themselves in Mangaung.

The national executive committee met in Pretoria on Monday to discuss the recent disruptions at ANC provincial conferences.

The ANC's Limpopo, Western Cape and North West regions missed a Friday deadline to nominate who they want to lead the party, due to verification issues and factional conflict.

MKMVA chairman Kebby Maphatsoe said the registration of delegates ahead of the Mangaung conference will help curb the disruptions that faced provincial meetings last week.

The MKMVA will help with security at the Mangaung conference.

But Maphatsoe said delegates would behave themselves.

He said they would be ready to deal with any persons attempting to disrupt the conference.

Delegates will be verified and registered in their provinces before they take the road to Mangaung, were the ruling party's top six leaders will be nominated.

The ANC's electoral conference gets underway on 16 December.
