POLOKWANE - Expelled ANC Youth League (ANCYL) leader Julius Malema will now face a charge of racketeering in addition to the money laundering charges.

This was revealed during his court appearance in Polokwane on Friday morning.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has also applied for a separation of cases so that the two trials will run independently.

The indictment and charge sheets have been handed over.

Malema addressed supporters outside the court.

He said, "There is permanent confusion in the camp of the enemy."
