ANC is collapsing - DA
Helen Zille believes Cosatu is being dragged down with the ANC.
BOKSBURG - Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Helen Zille on Saturday claimed that the African National Congress (ANC) was in the process of disintegrating and that no matter the outcome of Mangaung, the party would continue to fall apart.
She also said that the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) was being dragged down with the ANC.
Zille said there is a reason the DA is only growing.
"The DA is the only party in South Africa that is a party of strong, functional institutions. That is the reason, the DA works."
Zille claimed the ANC's problems have also started affecting Cosatu.
"In the past it meant its future in policy making was secure.
"In future it means they are going to be more and more divided and more and more torn apart and affected by the disintegration of the ANC."
She suggested Cosatu leave the alliance.
