Taxi drivers fight in Mamelodi
Taxi drivers reportedly fought over turf in Mamelodi East on Friday.
MAMELODI - Stones were thrown at cars in Mamelodi East outside Pretoria allegedly by taxi drivers fighting over turf on Friday.
Some roads were closed and passengers were forced to climb out of a bus which was struck by rocks.
It appeared that taxi drivers were fighting with each other.
A police car was pelted with stones and forced to flee.
The battle appeared to be between local taxis and those driving to and from town.
Traffic was affected, with no information available as to when the fight would stop.
