CAPE TOWN - The Plettenberg Bay Tourism Bureau on Friday said it is expecting to gross in more than R30 million during the two-week long Plett Matric Rage.

About 10,000 matriculants are expected to descend on the small Garden Route town at the end of November.

Learners will celebrate the completion of their exams and schooling careers.

The bureau's Joffrey Lottering said they are gearing up for the influx of learners.

"We've got Jack Parow (a musician) coming down. There are lots of events on our main beachfront area that will be happening. Plettenberg Bay has opened its doors to entertain our guests."

Lottering said they have beefed up security.

"There are lots of safety nets to ensure that the event is successful."
