CAPE TOWN - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund on Wednesday said he will use Wednesday night's match against Zambia to see which players should be included in the squad for 2013's African Cup of Nations (Afcon).

The coach said he will try out new combinations in this match and is not necessarily under pressure to win.

Bafana will take on the African Champions at Soccer City in Johannesburg.

Igesund said the match will give him a clearer indication on who to select.

"I'll be focusing on trying to get the best 23 players and giving them the opportunity to play so that I can select the best squad. We haven't started with team building yet. We haven't started with our combinations in set pieces and counter-attacking. We'll only start once I have the 23 players."

Bafana go into this match with only one training session.

Igesund said the best of Bafana is yet to come.

"At the moment, we are a group of players, we not a team yet. Zambia has been together longer."

This will be the first game for Bafana following the passing of their assistant coach.

Thomas Madigage died in a car accident in Polokwane in October.

Meanwhile, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has committed itself in working with Igesund.

The PSL has promised to make players available at all times.
