JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) on Monday said it has not experienced any glitches in the marking of matric exams.

The department started with its marking procedure last week Friday.

Gauteng is the only province marking exam papers at the moment.

Marking of the answer sheets is expected to be concluded by December 15.

GDE spokesperson Charles Phahlane said, "We got all the markers at the centre. These are very experienced markers and they are making sure the quality of the examinations is maintained."
