Quads: 700 nappies in one month
A Cape Town mother is one of 720 women to fall pregnant with quads without fertility treatment.
CAPE TOWN - A Kraaifontein mother on Thursday said despite the shock of falling pregnant with quadruplets, she would not have it any other way.
Elverna Petersen has two boys at school and four 17-month old toddlers.
The 35-year-old does not show any signs of being a frazzled mother of six as she opened her doors with a smile.
Petersen admits as her husband is a breadwinner, it is financially stressful to feed, clothe and pay medical bills.
The quads go through about 700 nappies and 100 litres of special growth milk per month.
Petersen is one of 720 women that fell pregnant with quads without fertility treatment.
