JOHANNESBURG - Low cost airline Mango is currently involved in a wage dispute with pilots that could quite possibly lead to a strike.

Pilots on Thursday said they wanted an inflation linked increase plus an additional 7 percent for every year for the next three years which totals 14 percent a year.

Trade union, Solidarity, is meeting with airline management at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) on Thursday, but if no agreement is reached then a strike certificate will be issued.

Mango's Hein Keizer said, "Up until now, Mango has opted not to negotiate through the media, but we are meeting with Solidarity at the CCMA at this time, hoping to find a mutual beneficial outcome for both parties."
